We had a group of friends that we loved playing co-op games with - we played as many as we could get our hands on. Eventually we pondered to ourselves- could we make one? Eleska and Paulina had just taken a sabbatical from a decade of working in draining corporate roles, so they thought this would be a fun undertaking to experiment and learn about. In 2018 they started learning about game development and making a prototype.....
The original idea of what we would actually make came from a Dungeons and Dragons campaign Paulina ran for her friends about adventurers running a magic inn. The campaign was incredibly fun, but soooooo chaotic that we were inspired to make something that would teach a rowdy group of adventurers to co-operate, and that could be played by friends and family together. As we started publically testing the prototype, we were really drawn to how it created a really wholesome family vibe - kids would teach their parents how to play, and parents would help prioritise multitasking; everyone would have something to contribute. We also really loved the dynamic of couples and housemates playing it together - ultimately we hoped it would be a more chill game like Overcooked that would bring people together.
Where did the project begin / what inspired the Dragonbear team to start the Innchanted project?
